The Trajectory of the Middle Class
This article would be an expansion of my article “The Middle Class Is Not a Myth”,1 specifically focused on the current shape and movement of the petit actionnaire class. There’s an ongoing debate among anti-colonial US communists as to whether or not the middle class is shrinking as a result of local class stratification, or if it is growing due to the overarching imperial extraction of wealth. This article would investigate which of these claims is more accurate and what this means for the strategy of US communists.
The Lumpenproletariat as a Vanguard Class
This article would investigate the claim that the lumpenproletariat can act as the vanguard class of the revolution in the US. It would first tackle what exactly this class is—i.e. how the term came about in theory and what it refers to in reality, and then investigate the claims of communists—such as the Black Panther Party—regarding the potential of this class in a revolutionary movement aimed at toppling the US empire.
